I am a Licensed New Jersey Hearing Aid Dispenser for 15 Years, and a Licensed New Jersey Ophthalmic Dispenser (Optician) for 30 Years. Earlier in my professional carrier I have worked for major chains like Miracle Ear and BelTone in the Hearing Health Field, as well as managed for both Pearle Vision, and LensCrafters in the Vision Field. I established my practice in Whiting, New Jersey 1n 1994. I have been the only professional in both fields to  have been in continued private practice in Whiting since that time.

BALLROOM DANCING

I also enjoy ballroom dancing and have been formally competing for over 10 years. Recently I have been invited to participate in dance cruises as a Dance Host for Dancers at Sea. This is a recent photo of myself and one of the female hosts “Carrie” aboard the “Costa Mediterania” during a recent cruise of the Caribbean Islands.

 

RESTORATION OF HOUSE BUILT IN 1893 IN RIVERTON NJ ( Turning a Lemon into Lemonade )

I purchased a historic home in Riverton NJ only to find it needed to be completely restored due to a mold problem caused by an improperly insulated roof. I ended up demolishing 80% of the interior to insure the house was clean. This process is still underway taking the better part of 7 years to date. While in the process I brought the  house back to it’s original architectural design making only minor and tasteful modifications. Doing much of the work myself I did the architectural interior planning, built the walls, finished carpentry, much of the electrical wiring & insulation, and had the plumbing replaced. I also had the chestnut woodwork restored which had been painted. I also tore off the outside shingles to reveal the original clapboard. You might say I restored every cubic inch of the house

HAM RADIO

I currently hold an Advanced Class Amateur Radio License under the call sign KB2XD. I’ve been interested in Electronics since an early age receiving my first Novice class license at the age of 9, the advanced class I received at the age of 14. I am not as active on the air lately but I enjoy working the 20 Meter International Radiotelephone Bands.

CLASSICAL PIANO & COMPOSITION

I studied classical piano and composition from Dr. Anton Rudnitsky. I had a choice to make between pursuing a carrier in musical composition, or going into the health care field which I ultimately chose. Although I haven't had the time to practice classical music, my innate talent allows me to play my  own compositions flawlessly.
